This is for you if you already love to garden — if the trowel is staying in your hands — but you are ready for the garden of your dreams: a harmonious palette, organized plant formations, and so many plants per square foot that the plants themselves become the mulch.
We design it together, over the winter, while the growers can still raise your plants to order.
Included, in order:
- Site survey & first meeting at your garden (greater Philadelphia region) — measurements, sun and shade, soil, deer pressure, the plants worth keeping, and a real conversation about how you live out there.
- Concept update — your palette, mood, and formations, presented for your reaction.
- The plan & planting list meeting — the drawn plan, plant by plant, quantity by quantity, season by season. Winter included. Especially winter.
- Up to three revisions — it isn't finished until it sings to you.
- Your plant quote — sourced from our wholesale growers, presented for approval.
- Ordering & delivery scheduling — approved plants ordered and scheduled to arrive when your soil wakes.
A commission composes one planting area — one mood: one palette, one composition, around eighty plants across some two hundred fifty square feet — a small tree, a few shrubs, a matrix of grasses, the perennial layer, bulbs tucked in for spring. Scope grows in honest half-mood steps ($450 adds ~40 plants or another stretch of bed; a whole additional area is $900), so you always know the number before we draw. Plants are quoted at grower cost plus a plainly-stated 20% procurement fee, and approved by you before ordering. Add a Custom Maintenance Guide to your finished plan for $350 — season by season, plant by plant, when to cut back and what to deadhead in August for a September encore. Twelve winter commissions are taken each year, in the order they arrive. When the growers close their spring books, planning season ends.
